I created this aspirational painting in reaction to the terrible violence happening in my ancestral homeland of Ukraine as it continues to struggle for its independence. The egg - a symbol of rebirth - contains an apple, symbol of knowledge, surrounded by the blue skies and yellow wheat fields of Ukraine and its flag.
